Why has no other profession been able to help your jaw pain or TMJD pain?

When dealing with our body you have to understand something,
There are two types of problems,
Chronic and Acute.
In Acute problems, we can get away, at least until our body’s had enough of it, with the following traditional system: A problem (i.e. tooth infection) + B solution (i.e. antibiotics-surgery) = C result (i.e. problem solved). Our traditional health system is really good at it!
But in most Chronic cases, and Jaw pain falls into this category, this system doesn’t work, in case of jaw pain or TMJD, not even a tiny bit.

Why?
Because as more recent science is pointing out, our bodies are complex energy systems of interconnected relationships and not a linear system and, therefore, it has complex imbalances; jaw pain and these other symptoms that go with it happen as a result of multiple factors that cannot be fixed with a magic pill.
Jaw pain involves a lot more than just the area where we are feeling the pain. In most cases it has little to do with the jaw itself, stress/anxiety play a major role, but not just that, postural patterns, lack of joint mobility are also part of the game! There is no magic pill to treat any of these things, right?
Does a pill (and I’ve also fallen into that don’t take me wrong) solve anxiety? No it doesn’t…
We have to start taking responsibility over our own bodies…

With Chronic pain and stress on the rise, being two of the major illnesses in our society, it’s quite obvious that they are linked and also that the traditional system doesn’t have the tools to address them.
Why? Because the traditional system is fundamented on a linear system. Looking at pills or surgeries that can fix your jaw pain, doctors find nothing.
Something like jaw pain needs to be approached in a holistic way, meaning, a way that looks at and treats the multiple posible root causes of the problem, having into consideration that mind and body are deeply connected and constantly affecting each other.
And right now… the only professional that can do this, is your soft tissue therapist.
It is really postive news that, for most people experiencing jaw pain and related symptoms, there is light on the other side, in the right hands.
Take control over your body, take your power back and learn how to heal your body.
